1️⃣ BEFORE – Protect Yourself
The best defence is prevention. Sextortion starts long before the threat appears. You make yourself stronger by being aware, cautious, and secure online.
Remember the 3 Ps – Privacy, Proof, Prevention:
Privacy: Keep accounts locked, avoid sharing personal info or images with people you haven’t met in real life.
Proof: Don’t send or store anything intimate online. If it’s digital, it’s copyable.
Prevention: Trust instincts. If someone rushes intimacy, avoids video calls, or refuses to prove who they are — that’s a red flag.
Karate mindset:
In self-defence, you don’t walk into danger — same online. Protect your space before trouble starts.
2️⃣ DURING – Control the Situation
When the threat happens, panic gives the criminal power. Control gives you power.
Use the 4 Cs – Cease, Collect, Contact, Confide:
Cease: Stop all replies immediately. Do not argue, negotiate, or pay.
Collect: Screenshot all messages, profiles, usernames, and payment demands. Save them securely.
Contact: Report to police via CEOP or call 101. Also report to the platform.
Confide: Tell someone you trust — a friend, parent, instructor, or colleague. You’re not alone, and silence helps them, not you.
Karate mindset:
When you’re attacked, you don’t freeze — you act with calm purpose. The same applies here: no panic, just precise steps.
3️⃣ AFTER – Take Back Control
Once you’ve reported, your goal is to recover confidence, protect others, and move forward.
Think of the 3 Rs – Remove, Reflect, Rebuild:
Remove: Use StopNCII.org to prevent image spread. Lock accounts and change passwords.
Reflect: You’re not at fault. Sextortion is manipulation, not mutual wrongdoing.
Rebuild: Talk to someone, reset mentally, and keep helping others learn the signs. You’ve turned a crime into awareness — that’s strength.
Karate mindset:
After any fight, you don’t stay in fear — you learn, recover, and grow stronger.

“B.D.A. — Before, During, After. Protect, Act, Recover.”
Why This Code Works
It mirrors real self-defence logic — threat awareness, response, aftermath.
It’s easy to teach in seminars, social media posts, or schools.
It reinforces emotional recovery, not just technical reporting.
